Folder Load + Print time idle

Hello and good evening to everyone.
im new at this forum . my name is avi and im from israel.
i saw another thread running around here regarding slow folder opening time: slow opening folders and files
well, i seem to be having the same problem.
in addition to that i noticed that lately my windows also had a pretty long idle time untill the pronter starts to print - and i think its from about the same time the folder thing started. i have a good pc. 4 gigs ram, amd phenom 9950
anyway, i have kaspersky Av which didnt recognize trojan Win32/Bumat!rts , i also tried Avast - nothing. let's say u dont have any suggestions - if i over-install windows on top of this one - without formating the system - will it solve the problem?

thanks alot and i hope that some1 could help me

    Hi avi and welcome

Lets see if we cant find out what the current problem is before we think about re-installiing.

First I would like to have you take a look in event viewer. type event viewer in search. go to the windows logs>application tab.
You are going to be looking for errors (red in left column) that have app hang, app crash, or printer in their description
There are going t be a bunch of them so you may want untill teh next time the printer takes a long time to print. that will give you less to look thru.

When you find errors that are relevant note the event ID and source code and let us know what they are

    Hope this helps
