    Now I shut down and restarted the computer with nothing running. It shows cpu high 100 that is with nothing. It does not make sense. Also is is slow to start up period.

    Hi,
    Do you have windows defender turned off ?
    Go to Control panel and click on the windows defender listing and see if not turn it off you use Avast.

    Okay I will do that. Right now I thought I will run Malarebytes custom scan in safe mode to see if there is a virus hiding. In custom I did what you said above and checkd rookit in custom scan. do you not want me to fix anything until you have a look see?

    Not sure why it's running MsMpEng.exe is associated with windows defender

    Yes well that is very strange. It wont let me get into it for some reason. It just says it is off. Virus scan came back with nothing. so hummm
