How can I get rid of pagefile.sys on C drive?
I'm having a hard time maintaining available space on my C drive (a 128GB SSD), it's usually hovering around 5GB to nearly nothing while I'm using my graphics editing program, Corel PaintShop Pro X7. I can't work long on it before getting a message that available space has dropped to critical levels, at which point the best I can do is leave the message window open while I empty as much of my %temp% directory as I'm allowed (as administrator), then go back to PSP and close the message window in order to continue working.
I have (if I'm understanding this correctly) my Virtual Memory configured to put the entire paging file on my larger internal D drive (which holds most of my user files/documents), but the attached WinDirStat report indicates pagefile.sys usage on C of 16GB. The attached Virtual Memory window indicates, erroneously it would appear, nearly 20GB free on C (Windows Explorer indicates about 2.5GB currently free).
What am I missing here? And does anybody see anything unusual in the WinDirStat usage figures?
Thank you for any assistance!
