    Booting up in Low Rez

Now this is getting really annoying. Not long ago Windows started booting in minimum rez, rather than my normal 1920 x 1080. At first it was only now and then, and all it took was for me to reboot the computer to bring it back to normal again. However, it's getting worse. Practically every time I boot up it boots in 800 x 600. Can anyone tell me what's causing this to happen?

Have you reinstalled the driver for the video card? If not, that is first step.

Is there a disk that came with the card? If so, it must be in the box it came in. Trouble is I don't know where that is. Can I download the driver? I've got a Nvidia GTX 670.

Here's the link to the NVIDA download site. You can download the correct driver.

Okay, did that but same thing. It starts up alright, but switches to low rez as soon as it gets to the "Welcome" screen.

What is your screen type, as it also due to the screen unable to use high resolution.

Hence, it will auto change the resolution to match the screen.

It's the same flat screen TV I've been running my computers off since about 2008/9. And nope, my other older computer doesn't suffer from the same problem.
