    SSD

i read SSD are much faster drives but i read alot of reviews on newegg about having to setup and tune the ssd to actually perform better and to eliminate studdering and stalling on windows xp.
my question is does the same tuning have to be done for windows 7?

    Hello TripOG,

I didn't have to do anything with my SSD other than connect it with Windows 7. You can see the performance difference I have between my SSD and normal SATA HDD drive in the link below.

After seeing your numbers Brink I think I'm going to pick up one of those... looks like I can get a 32gig version of your patriot for 100$ CDN, not too bad?

Done deal then, I'll grab it and try it out as my primary drive, use this 640 for storage. It seemed fast enough, we'll see with games after

The Intel x25-E is about the fastest one that THG reviewed in the last week - enjoy the performance.

Be warned, though, there have been numerous issues with the M version after use - do some reading.
