    startup hangup

So now... never before have I experienced this but when i restart or turn on the machine, when I put in my password, and windows loads, usually within that 5-15 seconds, everything loads. But it seems my network icon in the taskbar notifications area, cycles, gets stuck and takes 1-5 minutes sometimes, before the rest of explorer loads.

I have no ideas, would appreciate any tips or ideas.

    System specs

    i5 6600k
    asus maximus 8 ranger z170
    16 gig ddr4 dominator platnum 3000
pny ssd sata3 250 gig system drive
    evga 960 ftw 4 gig
    evga 850 watt ps

Im running win 7 pro 64 bit with a genuine activation.
I had troubles with the updates and such but got all of them to install. :)
I also got the missing .dll error taken care of, reinstalling stuff.

The reason I reinstalled windows was because I wasnt getting the updates and I thought maybe cause I selected install important updates only... that maybe that would have something to do with it. and it was the issue I was having using a hack for a game... the hack needs all the security updates from the OS to function properly. sigh.
