    defrag not working

Getting msg:Defrag was scheduled using another program.defrag is currently using customized settings created by another program. Before you can modify the schedule you must remove customized settings

There is a box saying "remove cusi"tomized settings"

When I select this option and retry defrag,I get the same msg.
Tried this in safe mode also.Same result.

What program has been used to customise these settings. You will need to find this program & either change the settings or uninstall the program.

You could try having a look at Disk Defragmenter. Click on the Start Button, Right Click on Computer, select Manage, when that opens click on the little arrow at Services & Applications, then select Services, when that open scroll down to Disk Defragmenter, double click & open that. This will provide a few options to see whether you can see what could be causing your problem.

You could try changing some of the settings, but make sure you note down the current settings first in case you have to revert to the those settings. If you do make some changes don't forget to click on the Apply button, if you don't then any changes are not applied.
