Copy and paste problems (and more) in windows 7 pro

What's going on with my windows 7 pro when I try to copy and paste? Here are some of the things I'm experiencing. It's happening in my emails. Sometimes, especially as the emails gains in length, I'll copy one paragraph (or take something from another email) and move it to another area in the email and it won't show up ... but often times when I send that email, or save it, and then open it up then that paragraph will show up. Another problem is that when I want to underline, slant or bold a word in an existing paragraph ... the word will disappear. Another problem is sometimes when I highlight an area and delete it ... several, or all, other paragraphs will also disappear. It's very frustrating because I do a lot of rearranging in my prose. What's up?

It when I'm writing emails on my AOL mail page. I guess the same thing would happen in Yahoo mail etc., too. I just mainly use AOL. I don't know it it would do it anywhere else either.

Have you actually tried this in Yahoo Mail? or any other online mail service, [Gmail?]
Does this only happen when you are writing online?
have you tried using a desktop mail client?

This could be an issue with the Online AOL mail page, or, a problem with your net connection, or something more local on your actual device. until we have more information it is difficult to diagnose the actual issue

I don't write lengthy prose on any of the other devices you speak of, of which most of them I don't have. And I've never tried to copy and paste on email from my phone. I heard that windows 7 had problems with copy and paste and thought ya'll would know about it and would perhaps have a fix for it.

    Hi,
Browsers interact with webmail differently I've found
Which browser do you use usually ?
    ie11 will suck at it
Firefox/ palemoon possibly even chrome may do different things using win-7 clipboard but it is mostly formatting issues from one source to another where the issues surface

Start pasting into notepad first and copy from it
Notepad will strip all formatting from different sources giving you a better interaction hopefully :)

I thought I'd tell you that I am not computer savvy. I guess a browser means firefox. I have no idea where notepad is.

    Hi,
Click the start button and go to all programs
Click to open the accessories folder and you'll see notepad listed in there along with other tools
Once note pad is open just right click it on your taskbar and click on Pin to taskbar
This way you can open it anytime you need to quickly.

On the top right of notepad you can use File and save as and name the text document for later use.

Thanks ... I'd still like to know what's going on with my copy and paste dealy bob. Like I said, there have been a lot of complaints about it not working in windows 7, it's just that some of the things I mentioned happening in my original post weren't mentioned and thought there might be a fix for the problem.

In addition ... I followed your instructions to notepad but what the heck is a taskbar. I didn't see anything that said taskbar not even when I right-clicked.

Taskbar is the bar running across the bottom of your screen,

That's it that the arrow is pointing to, the outlined box is the part he was suggesting you do with notepad once opened, that way its always handy.

That's windows 10 in my picture but yours will be very similar.
