REGISTRY EDIT (hope this is the right place)
Have had VSO software installed in the past and now have deleted ALL along with using VSO software removal tool. Having troubles with a VMP1 selection offered when trying to play a video program. VMP1 is non-existent on my computer. VMP is apparently under VSO software and orphaned in a file shared with INTERNET EXPLORER as when trying to delete VSO folder from C:ProgramFiles(X86) It refuses, saying the program is in use by IE.
My knowledge of registry is limited but I know enough to not fool with it unless I am sure cause and effect.
regedit: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT has about 35 various VSO entries. Inasmuch as there are no VSO programs on the computer now, the impulse is to delete them all. But, the fact the bugger has linked it to INTERNET EXPLORER would seemingly indicate there is a shared file between the two and would be a bad idea!?
Ideas appreciated..
