    Lagging on tabs

Have just clean installed this machine (Ivy B - 4th try) and have done a few updates but am now getting an annoying lag between tabs in the browser (Chrome). This is compounded by a very long lad between clicks on items in EBay for example.

Any ideas appreciated please as it has come out of the blue.

Do all the updates...or upgrade to 10.

I usually press 'x' (stop button) when a tab is slow, or hit 'ESC' (does the same thing). Probably find I got all the information I was looking for, just some of the ads don't load properly. If the page is missing something, then I just press reload button or F5. haven't worked out what is causing the issue. Could be happened after switching on an ad blocker, or when WSUS went down.

ICIT2LOL, have you switched on an ad blocker since doing a clean install?

    Hi,
Which updates have you installed if only a few ?
Have you turned off the update service ?
Have you looked at resource monitor and it's overview page to see what is going on or if svchost is running a muck ?

Hmm well have done all the updates and uninstalled IE11 only because I thought it might be interfering with Chrome??

I'll redo that one and any others that have since come up .

Colin I wanted to keep this machine 7 preferably dual boot but had so much trouble (long story) doing that so as I said I want to keep this one 7.

Lagging is the worst in EBay to be honest tab to tab seems reasonable now maybe a backlog on my broadband??

I understand that uninstalling IE is a mistake.
I believe there is functionality in the background that the 3rd part browsers need.

Well it is solved hopefully now because my Kaspersky was opening Ebay in the safe money feature and telling got to open EBay in the current window seems to have stopped the lagging. I have no idea why it suddenly started doing this on that machine as it has never happened before.

But I must thank everyone who has had a suggestion or two and give praise to whatever controls the universe because the lat week has been filled with one problem after another.
