Can you please clarify your problem. Do you not have a Sleep option? What happens when you click on sleep? Has this problem just started (did you not have it before)? What are your Control Panel > Power settings?

If I hit sleep on the keyboard or under the start button the screen goes dark and the power light turns orange. If i hit the mouse the screen says the computer is locked if I hit a key the desk top comes back on. the problem started a month ago. when I ran the command line to check vital files it said there were some things it could not fix and it created the txt file I gave. I do not remember the procedure I found it some ware on this site. the power settings said balanced.
