Unknown folder on my desktop

I restarted my laptop after uninstalling the OneNote 2016 update that I did not like and suddenly on my desktop I have a folder without a name. It would not open. After right-clicking it offers three options. And choosing to delete reveals that those are icons. My desktop is clean (I unchecked My computer and Recycle bin in the settings). So what is that?

A folder named'-Unsafe-' has appeared in my downloads folder. The obvious thing to do, I suppose, would be to open it to see what is in it, however the clue to NOT doing this is in the folder name!! Has anyone any experience if this??
