    Hi,
Go to your bios and optimize defaults save and exit.
If still no joy after that use the boot menu by tapping the F8/ F5 or Delete key on power up you'd have to look at the flash screen listed options to know.
Select the drive the os is on

Another possibility is in your bios and boot section and disable fast start and save and exit.

Tried booting it up from.the boot up menu. Just reset my settings to optimized defaults. No luck still.

Your profile says you have a AMD A10-5800K on a Gigabyte MB with Windows 7 Professional 64Bit.

Could you please give us the hardware specs of the new computer?

Please explain "i am stuck on msi pro series screen"

It can be a BIOS configuration problem.
Reset your BIOS taking out the CMOS battery and wait 2 minutes.

As Win 8.1 requires different BIOS settings than Win 7, you should post the thread on Windows 8 Forums

When you try to boot, is there any message?
On BIOS find and disable MSI logo so you can see POST.
On BIOS can you see the HDD?

Do you have a Win 8.1 installation disk? Is yours home or Pro?
