    sfc cannot repair corrupt file

I keep getting this error message after I run sfc /scannow. I've run it 3 times, rebooting after each run. After 3rd run, I pulled the data out of the CBS log file on my desktop. This is the recurring line from that file:
"Repairing corrupted file [ml:58{29},l:56{28}]"\??\C:\Windows\system32\wbem"\[l:18{9}]"aeinv.mof" from store", that is has trouble fixing.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to fix?

    Roy,

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I've been gone all week. I did download and installed the KB9478721 on Sunday evening and let it run all night. On Monday, it looked like it was complete, so I shut the computer down and left. Today I looked in windows update, under installed updates and could not find the KB9478721.

I ran sfc and the error still shows up.

    Paul

Update: I ran KB9478721 again, watched it and it said installation complete. Again I looked in windows update, installed updates, and it does not appear.?????

The log for it is in the same folder as CBS, labled SURT.
