MSCONFIG comes with Windows 7. It is not automatic, but it is a great tool for troubleshooting the kind of problems you have described.

See my post here for more information:

Thanks mrjimphelps it could be a good start point.....but in my case I have several machines often re-imaged where some of them are very slow and the rest are working fine. They have the same hardware and software. In this scenario what do you suggest me?

    Thanks

You'll have to troubleshoot one machine at a time. There's no automatic way to do this.

You need to see if there is a pattern to the problems. For example, the slow machines might all be in the same office. This would indicate that your networking equipment or cabling has a problem in that office. Or, the same two or three users are always having problems with the computers being slow. This could indicate that they do a lot of personal stuff, surfing the web, etc. on their work computers, things which can bog down the computer.

Since you are re-imaging machines, the machines are not new. This means that there could be some hardware issues -- memory, hard drive, etc.

The pcs are in the same LAN. It seems the problem is not linked to a specific user/s It seems more a machine issue.
For what I could see it starts fine, suddenly slow down and most of the time freeze waiting something (start some process i guess) that took all the CPU resources and once it is done the pc come back to normal....few minutes and it start again....

Try the MSCONFIG procedure I described in the following post:
