    MKLINKS with faulty hard drive

For some reason, my hard drive is not working adequately. Sometimes it gets recognized by Windows sometimes not.

But this is not the issue.

The issue is that I have some MKLINK /D pointing to certain folders in that harddrive

And every time the hard disk fails to get recognized all MKLINKs are broken.

    For example

    I create a link:

    mklink /D c:\folder1\folderlinked f:\folderlinked

But when Harddrives fails the c:\folder1\folderlinked automatically changes the link to c:\folderlinked (broken)

Any solution? (I mean, not for the drive, for the links to stay valid until I solve the issue with the harddrive so I don't have to recreate the constantly)

The only solution I've found yet, it's to create a BAT file, that deletes all the MKLINKS, and recreates them. But this is a botched job. I would like something more solid (maybe certain MKLINK flag i've not taken in consideration?)

What kind of drive is it? Is the drive internal or external?
