My RAM goes from 40% to 94% in 2 minutes

I need help with this one, my machine:

Win7 PRO 64bit SP1
eMachine EL1352-01e
AMD Athlon II X2 215 Processor, 4.0 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

Was working fine then at the end of a session I noticed functions slowing down to a crawl. I looked at the

win7 gadget it said 97% ram being used it's normally about 40%.

Rebooted - initially it was ok then after several minutes ram usage went very high again.

Anyone on the forum know how to fix this and restore proper function?

You need to determine what app is using all of that memory. That's what TASKMGR can provide.

Run -> taskmgr, then click on the Performance tab. You'll see two graphs showing CPU usage vs. time on the top, and memory usage vs. time on the bottom.

Push the Resource Monitor button at the bottom of the window. This will launch a second "Resource Monitor" window five with tabs at the top. Click on the Memory tab.

You'll now see all of the currently running processes and the amount of memory associated with each. You can click on any column heading and rearrange the display to be sorted alternately in either ascending or descending order by that column's value, as you repeatedly click on that same column heading.

If you click on the "commit" column heading to show which process has the largest memory usage as the first one at the top of the list, this should be the culprit process.

At the very least you will have more information to work with.

f you're running malewarebytes pro update it because there was a problem with one of their updates that caused that problem..It happened to me also..
