Random Reboots at Idle or Usage, Low Temps
I've seen several of these posts, none of them fit mine, or they are old and not resolved.
When I turn on the monitor, in the morning or even a few hours later, the system has rebooted
Classic.. Reboots for no reason - NO ERROR MESSAGES, and NO BSOD
I use Core Temp v1.12.1 (hate speed fan, it has issues(known))
Temps are 33-34 idle and last peaked (from reboot) 39-47 <- not really hot enough to force a reboot
System build from ground up last week (cept gpu, last piece I have to get)
i7 Haswell 4790
20GB RAM
z97 Military Motherboard
Deepcool GMAXX 400 (cpu)
5X120m FANS (YES mounted correctly)
There is more, that should eliminate the heating issue.
There has never been anything substatial that sticks out in the event viewer. The only thing that is common is the VSS shut down at 1am (in this example) and then the next even is me logging on.
I've read in another thread that VSS is not the issue - OK. Looking for another option to check into.
Two hours before the reboot there was the following:
Script:
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
Although I do not think that has anything to do with these reboots. Especially since it was 2hrs prior.
I also checked tasks, and nothing is requiring a reboot.
I normally don't run windows updates automatically (just like to see what strangers are trying to shove in my OS), however, ever day, and/or even in the afternoon? I ruled out the updates, and most updates will at least warn you of a reboot requirement.
So looking for any suggestions someone might have that I missed?
Thanks guys!!
Cheers
