    Which of these registry entries apply to Windows 7?

    I'm trying to remove the irrelevant stuff.

    :: - the key doesn't exist
    rem - the value doesn't exist

    I know this doesn't mean anything because some registry entries are hidden but still...

    I hope you've made full backup images of your OS and Data partitions onto external media before having embarked upon registry cleaning. What registry cleaning utility are you using? As far as answers to what the registry entries are -- I have no idea; I'll sit by and read the posts coming in from others who can answer your questions. [I posted so that I can easier follow this thread.]

    Yes, I do have a full up-to-date offsite backup. I don't use a registry cleaner (and I would advise strongly against it). I'm not trying to clean my registry. I want to import the correct registry entries in order to configure some aspects of the operating system.

    Unless you are very familiar with the registry & know what changes will affect what, it would be best to leave it alone, as some changes to the registry can render the computer as useless.

    I use RegCool 1.082 and RegScanner 2.31

    Nobody knows which of these registry keys apply to Windows 7?
