Problems after Moving Partitions
So my friends computer has 2 problem. First thing is here is what happened. He has a Lenovo with a small 128GB SSD. He bought a 512GB SSD and wanted me to clone it. The Cloning did not work using Aomei, read a thread about imaging is easier so did that and it worked. But the partitions did not use all the extra space so it looked like
100MB partition > Windows 7 operating partition > Lenovo recovery partition > extra space
Reading more to be able to use that extra space, it must be right behind the operating system partition so used GParted to move the recovery to the rear so it looked like this
100MB partition > Windows 7 operating partition > extra space > Lenovo recovery partition
So then I was able to extend the operating system to the extra space and all looked good
100MB partition > Windows 7 operating partition > Lenovo recovery partition
So two things occurred:
The Lenovo recovery partition now said (after running the computer and doing Windows updates) that it is full which it is. How to fix this?
Second, I did my normal checks for any system and I ran SFC and it found corruptions. I ran Dism commands:
CheckHealth - it found 87 problems
ScanHealth - This did not find anything
RestoreHealth - found 87 errors. Wrote "The restorehealth option is not recognize in this context".
Not sure how to fix these errors and the recovery area. I look for some guidance from the members, thank you. I will be working today so I will not get back to this till later today, FYI
