    Blue bars red bars of hard drive disk space allocation?


    What is the hard drive percentage that shows that it is in blue color, when it is red? 20% free of space allocation?

    When a red bar is showing you are getting close to a full hard drive & this slows the computer down. You need to delete files you don't need & remove software you don't use any more. If you don't want to remove any items you could install an extra hard drive & transfer some software programs & files to it. If you don't want to do that you could install a larger capacity operating system hard drive & then either clone your existing hard drive to the new one, or create an image & transfer that.

    You would need a back up software program to do that such as Macrium Reflect Free, which you can download & install from here:

    I believe it shows red when 10% or less space is remaining.
