Windows 7 W32TM (time server) does not exist

I used a trial version of Acronis and I used a registry cleaner to remove it. I shut down the computer but it wouldn't shut down. Windows was hanging.

So I forced a shut down. Upon rebooting, I noticed my Window displays (I have dual monitors) were different and my time was off. I then restored to a previous factory restore point and while it got my screen displays back, Windows time is still off and I have an error message Windows Time Server error 1290. I also tried the fixes outline ere but nothing worked.

Furthermore. I went into Event Viewer and I got an error message that Event Log service is unavailable.

    Any ideas?

[1] Which registry cleaner did you use? Did you backup the registry first?

Using a registry cleaner is the LAST resort. If you do use one though, it is definitely a good idea to backup the registry AND make a system image first!

[2] Do you mean a restore point? A factory restore involves wiping/deleting the disk drive and then installing a clean/fresh OS?

    I hope this helps!
