Don't know if you've finished this yet. Would you consider the free open-source Open Office or does it have to be MS Office? OO's files are compatible with MSO.

No, I am not finished yet. I only volunteer at Habitat one day a week. This was a hand me down to a new employee that seems to know her way around a computer. I will speak to her today and see if she wants to try the suggestions. I don't want to overstep. I'm just a volunteer there.

I thought about open source or even Google Docs, but Habitat seems to be dug in on MS Office. Probably due to the MS donations.

Many people don't know there are free alternatives. Unlike MSO, no need to worry about malware attacking it. If you do decide, it's here:

    Apache OpenOffice - Official Download

I spoke to the lady yesterday. As suspected, she already had done some work with it and felt she could do the clean up herself. She is pretty resourceful, but more attuned to the Mac. She said she would let me know if she needed a hand. If it goes that way I will let you all know. Thank you for your help.

plus reg cleaner programs are overrated and unnecessary (and can sometimes make things worse if you don't know what registry keys to clean out)
