I've already run the SFC command and was able to fix some of them. The corrupted files are causing some problems to my PC. AV won't turn itself on in the Security Center (I need to turn them on manually), I can't play the media with WMP and can't play Plants vs. Zombies. Here are the corrupted files that I got from SFCFix.exe

Should I run Startup Repair and will it fix the corrupted DLL's? What should I do now? What do these files do in general?

[2] In your case, run SFC again two or three more times, re-booting in between. For some reason, this can make a difference. I think it has to do with the settings.ini file sometimes showing false positives! If you still get a message saying "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them", then either upload the files or the folder [see Upload to SevenForums below] for us to look at!

I hope this helps!

If the files got corrupted it can be due to a disk problem.
Do a disk check. Open a CMD window as administrator and type:
chkdsk C: /f
It will say your disk is in use and ask if you want to schedule to next boot = Yes
Reboot.
Pay attention on the results, specially bad blocks , bad clusters, bad sectors...

Hi CrossAlex21,

What should I do now if there are any bad errors?

Can you please do this . . .

Under the heading chkdsk [Check Disk] - Extract The WININIT Run Data Log . . ., please run CHKDSK_Extract_The_WININIT_Run_Data_Log.bat, Option [2] from here => My BATCH PROGRAMS [Standalone] and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums . . .] and someone will look at it for you.

I hope this helps!

There are two kinds of disk errors, logical and hardware.
Logical errors most of the time can be fixed by check disk.
Hardware problems can't be fixed. Bad blocks , bad clusters, bad sectors means that the surface of the disk is damaged. There is nothing you can do but replace the disk.

Did check disk find bad blocks , bad clusters or bad sectors?
If you're not sure, there is a saved log that you can retrieve using the link Paul provided.

No bad sectors found

I have runned the batch file and I opened it and I found no errors. I think in my case for the errors are the logical ones cause it did repaired the disk problems.

I have tried that and It fixed the problem that I had earlier, but some other files cannot be repaired such as Wpc.dll, mstscax.dll, mfds.dll, ntshrui.dll, tiptsf.dll, devenum.dll, MP3DMOD.DLL and RESAMPLEDMO.DLL.
What should I do with these corrupted files?

Well, No bad sectors found after running chkdsk is a good sign.

Download and run SFCFix from here => SFCFix. Post the SFCFix log which can be found in C:\SFCFix.

Runned SFCFix and same files corrupted

I have already run SFCFix and they are the same corrupted files. I don't have an installation disc that SFCFix needs to repair them. I am thinking of downloading the System Update Readiness tool cause
HTML:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
doesn't work on Windows 7. What should I do now?

SFCFix is not the same as SFC!

As far as SURT is concerned . . .

Under the heading SURT [System Update Readiness Tool] . . ., please run SURT.bat, Options [2] and [4] from here => My BATCH PROGRAMS [Standalone] and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums . . .] and someone will look at it for you.

NOTE: The reason I link to the thread above rather than posting the .bat file here is because it makes it easier if I have to amend the batch script. This way, I only have to amend it and upload it to one location.

I hope this helps!

No it doesn't unfortunately, unless you download the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit [Windows ADK].

Otherwise you could run . . .

Hi CrossAlex21,

What option should I choose in order to have the DISM Feature?

Downloading the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit [Windows ADK] and running DISM will be of NO benefit in your situation and will only add to your problems. I posted that for information purposes ONLY!

I still think that the main reason to the corruption files is a dying disk.
Before you try to fix the corrupted files you must be sure the disk is healthy.

Hi CrossAlex21,

I still think that the main reason to the corruption files is a dying disk.
Before you try to fix the corrupted files you must be sure the disk is healthy.

The check disk log you posted is from 10/3/2019 1:16:59 PM an it isn't complete (missing stage 3)
It found many, many problems

Please run chkdsk C: /f again and post the results.

I agree with Megahertz07.

Under the heading chkdsk [Check Disk] - ALL Parameters . . ., please run CHKDSK_ALL_Parameters.bat, Option [4], REBOOT, then Option [5] from here => My BATCH PROGRAMS [Standalone] and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums . . .] and someone will look at it for you.

NOTE: The reason I link to the thread above rather than posting the .bat file here is because it makes it easier if I have to amend the batch script. This way, I only have to amend it and upload it to one location.

I hope this helps!

Can I run chkdsk without the f parameter?

When I last runned chkdsk without the f parameter, it went into the Only-Read mode and it said that I have 0kb in Bad Sectors. Does this mean that I don't have a bad sector?
I've also runned diskdrive get status and it said that the drive health is OK.
Should I run with the f parameter or no?

Hi CrossAlex21,

Correct.

Should I run with the f parameter or no?

Yes because it checks for file system errors or corruptions . . .

Option [3] chkdsk C: /F [repair mode].
Run this if there any possible errors or corruptions. This one does repair any errors [file system errors or corruptions] on the OS drive but doesn’t scan for any bad sectors. This cannot be run while the HDD is in use [locked] and is therefore scheduled [displays a prompt] to be run at the next reboot. After it has run, Windows will automatically boot.

I hope this helps!
