Welcome to the forum. What exactley did check disk say and did it say it fixed errors? The thing to understand is check disk fixes mainly file system faults s unless it mentioned bad blocks the disk its self is fine. If in doubt goto disk makers website and download there test software specificly for their drives that will tell you if the is a disk fault

    Hi

there are three basic repair tools.

    sfc /scannow
    chkdsk /r
    KB947821

run them all, post the results.

When you run chkdsk from Windows, it only does a check but can't correct errors (/F = Fix) as the disk is in use.
To run a chkdsk and correct errors, open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    chkdsk C: /f
It will say the disk is in use and if you want to schedule to next start = Yes
    Restart
Once back to windows, open a CMD window as administrator and type:
    sfc /scannow

Follow these steps to view the Check Disk (CHKDSK) results:

    Open the Control Panel
    Open Administrative Tools
    Select Event Viewer.
In the Event Viewer expand the Windows Logs
    Select the Application log.
Right Click the Application log and select Find
Type wininit in the box and click Find Next
In the middle pane click the Source/wininit line that is found.
In the south pane, you will see the complete log for the latest Check Disk (CHKDSK).
