Win 7 Ultimate suddenly running very sluggish - looking for help

    Backups are always good but I don't think it is necessary.

    Ok it seems to have helped - file explorer works much faster, but some programs are still very laggy - like photoshop. And trying to use commands like MSCONFIG takes a long time to load or even type in the search box.

    Yes I did, getting rid of all of the services and then putting them back one at a time. Laborious, but it worked. Thank you . Solved
