    Question about Sleep Mode

Every time I put my system to Sleep, I can't seem to wake it again unless I cold-reboot. Pushing various characters on the keyboard or moving the mouse does not bring up the 7 password entry / login screen.

    Any ideas why?

Could it be a USB Wireless keyboard issue? (Using Logitech mouse/keyboard, wireless, USB).

My monitor is also on standby since I don't think 7 is outputting a signal hence me trying to wake the system with a keystroke...

I had to set the bios for my keyboard to bring it out of sleep. Before that, when in sleep my HD light was blinking. I could hit the power button and it would come out of sleep. It would not reboot, just come out of sleep.

One thing you could try to see if it helps is setting USB selective suspend to "enabled," if it's not already set that way. It's in Control Panel, Power Options, Change Plan Settings, Change Advanced settings, USB settings, Selective Suspend - enabled.

You can also reach Power Options by right clicking the power icon in the system tray, or just typing "power options" into the start, search field and hitting enter.
