Random lagging on Windows 7 RC1

Hello. My computer keeps on randomly lagging for about half a second and happens especially whenever I'm playing games or going on the net. An example is that if i flick my mouse from side to side instead of smoothly going across it jumps from one spot to another. I've tried using CC cleaner and its not helping. Does anybody know what the the problem is and if anybody else is experiencing it as well?

    My OS: Windows 7 RC1

    Specs:

    Intel Core2 Duo E8400
    Nvidia 9800GT
    2GB 1066 DDR2 Ram

It appears to be your memory. When it happens something is probably going on in your comuter. Maybe indexing, or A/V scan, one of many things. I would shut down the a/virus and see if that solves the problem. Go to task manager and see whats using ram.

2gb ram is not a lot for windows 7.

Check task manager and see how much memory is actually being recognized.

Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic test for two full passes. If problems, then run memtest86 for more passes to stress test and isolate the stick to replace.

RC is also quite buggy and has a ton of monitoring software which was taken off in RTM. You could Upgrade to RTM now and make it last as long as RC will now.
