    PC freezes during Performance Monitor

    Hello,
after I build my new System, it always freezes during the Performance Rating. For days I'm reading Threads about the issue, but none of them are helping to solve the Problem. I will attach the last Report of the Winsat. Please help me solve this problem. Thanks.

Thanks ICit2lol, disk-Check was running earlier on tonight, but showed nothing.

The sfc /scannow came up with no Result:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

But actually, after reading some threads hear I found an error of which I knew, but didn't fix this time
(Installed Windows about 6 or 7 times during the last 2 weeks).

Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

I will try the fix it for that issue and hope that's it.

Sorry late reply Daddelbox mate have been laid up - I have a had a scour around and it seems like this comes reasonably close to what you have posted

Event 10, WMI and Error 0x80041003, events cannot be delivered through - Microsoft Community < within this link is a another link with the Fix it from Microsoft might be worth try because to be honest all that coding and messages are really quite foreign to me.

Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Thank's I used that Fix it but it didn't solve the problem.

I'm a bit wondering why that is happening anyhow. The whole System was build 3 weeks ago. While there was at first a problem with power supply, the Performance Monitor worked just fine. After the problem with the power was fixed everything runs quiet nicely exept Performance Monitor. I installed windows new about 3 times but that didn't help ether.

Checks on Ram, HDD or System Performance showed up nothing. I will go call the one who build the System for me and have him looking it over.

I will keep you posted. Maybe there is just another hardware problem which I'm just not able to see.

Hmm I wonder what was wrong with the power supply? More interesting is how was it fixed?? Usually one needs to be a) EXTREMELY careful when "fixing" PSU's and b) more often than not has to be tested on specialised equipment.

Just for my interest just what power supply (PSU) is in the machine because it looks to have a fair amount of gear installed. Now don't go doing it if you don't want to but I would personally ditch the AVG too.

There are plenty of other good free ones see here Probably the Best Free Security List in the World - Page 2
there is a ton of good stuff on this site too the ones I would be looking at are BitDefender Comodo and MSE but the choice is yours.

    Sorry for the late answer.

What was wrong with the PSU u asked. Well actually the system simply didn't start by pressing the power button. I took it back to where it was build to fix. It did run for hours before without any trouble. When I went for pick up, I was told that there was a PSU problem and that it was replaced with a new one.

Yes well the problem could have been a few things Daddel like the small leads that attach tot the starting block on the motherboard coming loose or just the PSU dying.

Now just for future info if ever you have problems and suspect the PSU you can always "artificially" start it using this PSU - Jump Start

The one thing I will say it that under no circumstances touch inside or probe into the PSU casing there are some every high volts in there from the switching power supply circuits that can kill.

If you ever use this tutorial then you just start it and then test the power leads one by one. The volts you look for are here
Voltage Rails - Power Supply 101: A Reference Of Specifications

Anyway at least you are up and running again eh? :)
