Defrag locked files

Is there a way i can move all the locked system files from the close middle of my hard drive and defrag them to the begginning of my drive. I want to partition my drive, but i cant because it ran into system files so i cant make it as big as i want.

Hi there, if you want to resize your partition, acronis disk director suite is the best way to do it without any hassle. Just move the bar as much as you want. Talking about defrag, use defraggler.

Hope this helps,
Dinesh.

I agree with the fact that those are great products. However I suggest gparted, its free.
Defraggler is great, and its free, but for defragging, I think that the built in defragger that comes with Win7, more than serves the purpose.

Does Windows Defrag defrag system files?
Hi all. Stupid question here... A friend of mine was speaking highly about this PerfectDisk prog because "it defrags system files." I was kind of surprised because I thought (assumed) that the defrag utility built into Windows 7 already defragged system files. Is this not true? I do not...

Is it possible to defrag when creating new files?
Hi there folks, just wanted to ask a possibly silly but important (to me anyway) question about using an auto-defrag program (Windows 7 or other)? Can you really run a defrag program running in the background when you are creating files all the time?? It seems to me that it's defeating the whole...

All my files are locked? AHH!!
Ok, this is a nightmare. I do a lot of photoshop graphics for work. I open a file in photoshop and edit...then save....WRONG!! It says I cannot save because it is locked. ALL MY FILES ARE LOCKED? How do I correct this insanity?
