Manage memory for specific app

I wondering if it is possible to set a max amount of memory that an application is permited to use in Windows 7? For example, if unrar is running I want it to use no more then 4 of the total 6 available gigs of memory.

use 32 bit maybe? doesnt that limit the total memory usable by an app to 3GB or somthing? as you have 6GB ill assume you use X64 though

I am pretty sure that it can't be done. But, if there were a way, it would certainly affect the performacne of the application.
