Hi and welcome

one way to tell if ports are 1.1 or 2 is to open device manger. type device manager in search. Look at the USB section find the 2.0 posts and right click them. you should be able to tell.
transfer speed is not dependent on virtual memory. What is the differnce between when you get good transfer rates and not. Is there some other activity going on like indexing or AV scan? since the pen drive is plugged directly into the port and no cable is involved it must be something in software.

How do I change CD-ROM speed? (Transfer speed is extremely slow)
Hello guys! So I bought this kick-ass laptop from MSI. It is pretty good. These are the specs (in case they aid in finding a solution to my problem): Name: MSI WorkStation Series GT60 2OKWS-674US OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit CPU: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7-4800MQ

usb 3.0 Transfer Speed Very Slow
I've done alot of reading about transfer rate with 2.0 and 3.0. For 2.0 it's 480 MB/s and for 3.0 it's 5 GB/s. Copying a 2GB item from computer to external HHD. Using 3.0 port on my notebook on test 1 it's around 34MB/s and then on test 2 the speed might be 3.57MB/s, and then on test 3, it's...

Transfer speed slowing down
I noticed that when I copy many small or large files between my partitions, the speed is slowing down. It starts at about 100MB/s, then after a few secs goes to 60MB/s and after another 30 seconds slows down to 30MB/s. Is this normal, or do I have a problem somewhere? Thanks in advance

File Transfer Speed
I have long wondered about the speed of transferring files from one drive/partition to another, but only recently found specific variations that evade any conclusions by myself. I have been downloading movies, which are destined to a partition on an internal drive, and which after organizing them,...

What should be the transfer speed in N standard?
hi. I would like to know what should be the speed when I transfer files through my wireless network. I've noticed that when I copy files, the speed is about 8MB/s and sometimes drops below. Does it have something to do with the reception percentage? Can I improve the transfer rate?
