I read about it on Gizmodo. The only real discussions were about whether it could set a bear on fire. I could think of uses for it than that.

You know, whenever I encounter a new piece of technology, setting bears on fire is the first thing that comes to mind...

Light sabers?

This plus incendiary rounds inside of the larger attachment (a rifle) would light a bear on fire XD

Your system should be getting low to mid 20's.

A little CPU OC will help your RAM scores/performance.
Your stock CPU cooler will handle a mild OC, if you are planning on OC'ing you need to get a better CPU cooler.

Have you updated your drivers?

That does say you are running at 1600MHz. What does the SPD tab show? Your specs don't say how much ram you have. You are indeed running 3 dimms, triple channel? I don't see Corsair on the QVL (Qualified Vendor List), so I can't get much info. Obviously it's working, and I suspect it isn't an issue. Perhaps when Dave76 or another hardware Guru comes by, they will have some ideas.

As A Guy said, post your CPUZ SPD tab.

The new i5/i7 P67/Z68 mobos have an improved architecture and will generally get better scores/performance.

It's quite a decent boost from what it was previously!
That's better
With more tweaking and a little OC you should be able to get sub 24k.

@Dave - Thanks for the reply. Yeah I am probably going to lightly overclock the CPU to 4 GHZ. Right now everything is bone stock on my machine. I am just trying to set up a good optimized base before I start and overclock a wee bit.

CPU Speed, BCLK and Memory Speed: Boot failure.
Probably I am in the right section for this issue. If not, please move it. A couple of days ago I changed the motherboard and processor, but not the RAM as the RAM is apparently compatible with that board as stated in GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1150 - GA-B85M-D3H (rev. 1.0/1.1) ... Now, I...

What's your hard drive assessment speed?
I'm curious to see what other people are getting for their WEI disk scores. I would like to see all types and combinations of drives to see how they differ in performance. If possible try to keep HDTach/HDTune/etc. scores to a minimum as there is another thread for that. Some general questions...

Memory Assessment Speed
Just a curious question; I ran winsat mem a couple of weeks ago and got a 13600+ read. Ran it today and got 15985 read. Only system change was adding a Radeon 6670 Video card. Does memory speed change this much ? What might cause the disparity ?

Memory speed
I have 4 Gb of corsair 1600MHz C9 DDR3 memory installed on an Asus Crosshair III Formula 790FX motherboard. The motherboard specs said that it supported 1600 MHz memory, yet the memory is only running at 1333 MHz. Do I need to OC the M/board in someway to get the full speed out of the memory...
