I think im going to throw all my TOYS out of the pram in a damn min.....
In a recent thred of mine I upgraded the MEM i had from 4 too 8 gig from 1333 too 1600, but under clocking the *******s as I cant for the love of me get them to get too 1600. Weather its the motherboard or the CPU being a bitch who knows, Now I see this thread and see that people getting in the 10k range and I am only getting the following................................................

Intel® Core)
1333MHz front side bus speed.
Voltage range is 0.85-1.3625v
The best you can do possibly is set it to auto and let the bios find the fastest speed possible.
1333MHz may be tops though.

So that is using 2 sticks of RAM not four in the orange slots only.** DDR3 2000(O.C.)/1600, it is suggested to use one DIMM per channel
**** It is recommended to install the memory modules from the orange slots for better overclocking capability
Hopalong X
I know all this already, I have them in the orange sockets. 1 Dimm per slot. How would I get 2 in 1 slot, lol.....
Anyway. It said it can take it but if I try XMP it dont like it, If I try anything like lowering the CPU voltage Nothing. I have had too go back too 1305 in the Bois too as it made it corrupt. And Im sure if i Put the 4gig back in there the damn thing would give me faster speed.
I misunderstood. I thought you had 4 sticks in trying to get it to run 1600.
I didn't realize you had tried it with just 2 sticks already.
Just trying to help.
Mike
Just takes a little tweaking.
Your board should handle this.
Your board's website:
How many RAM cards do you have installed?4 x DIMM, max. 16GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333 / 1066 MHz, Non ECC, un-buffered memory
Did you take out the old 4GB RAM and install all new RAM?
Can you download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs for all RAM cards.
For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.
How to Post a Screenshot in Seven Forums
Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and North Bridge (NB) voltages are.
Sometimes the NB needs a voltage bump.
What exactly did you do to try and get the RAM at 1600?
