It's not just Intel. The Mushkin Memory has been quietly floating to the top of "performance memory" without fanfare and gaudy looking packages. I'm impressed with the budget 1330's I installed.
Seems Intel does have a big advantage over AMD, those results are 1.5-2x what I'm getting with my Phenom II X4 and the RAM at 1600Mhz!
It is not a waste if you do activities that use the ram. Winsat, as I understand it, does not count how much ram you have, only the speed of the ram. I think if you look through this thread, you will find the higher scores are from people running faster ram not more ram. But the winsat scores do not really reflect on real world performance.
