    Essenbe is correct, but the variances you have may just be how much of your RAM was being used at the time of the test. Try running 3-4 with 5-6 minutes between them, and after several hours of use and after a reboot.

    It is not a waste if you do activities that use the ram. Winsat, as I understand it, does not count how much ram you have, only the speed of the ram. I think if you look through this thread, you will find the higher scores are from people running faster ram not more ram. But the winsat scores do not really reflect on real world performance.
    Indeed, I only have 4GB of Ram, and I get decent numbers.

    I'm just testing what impact an intel SB increase of 200mhz increase from 4.6ghz>4.8ghz has on these scores and I can't find my previous s/shots to compare with

    It's simply a 'comparative' number for others to compare to.
