That's normal for single channel (one RAM card), it will be better with two RAM cards in dual channel.

It's better to have matched RAM cards, with unmatched cards it's possible to be unstable.

Download CPUZ and you can get the supplier and part number from the SPD tab.
Try to get this exact brand/model with the same voltage and JEDEC info.
There are some RAM manufacturers that will guarantee compatibility with your laptop, they can't guarantee compatibility with your current RAM card. Try searching the Crucial site, they and a few others have a good return policy if there are any problems.

It's always recommended to get matched RAM kits, which will be more stable.

    Yah , I did pick out a set of 8GB [4x2] from Crucial .

They make solid RAM, good warranty and service.

Most have other choices for custom desktops where they want to OC the RAM, for a laptop it's a very good choice.

StalkeR, that's quite an improvement isn't it? As I recall, you are almost double your old score.

    Nice improvement Boshko!

There is a newer version of Maxxmem, 1.98 but for the life of me I can't find a link to it.
Score are nearly the same but adds some RAM info in the header.

They want me to join to download and I don't need yet another forum.

Can you post the zip here or on a hosting site Bill?
