    i have DDR2 4096MB (single channel) and performance isn't goin above 3100MB/s
    is it ok?

    I went from 7500 to this!

    Mushkin DDR3 1600Mhz (dual channel 7-8-7-20)

    My i7 memory assessment


    Hovering around 18730 myself. i7 So its the triple channel memory giving me the boost.

    So I gotta ask myself, I was considering replacing my motherboard simply for the benefit of upgrading to DDR3 ram, but having seen some of your numbers on here, I am now wondering if there is even any real benefit considering I am getting +19000 MB/S with my DDR2 ram.
