This is with DDR2 4gb 1066. CL5-5-5-15. Can someone tell me if this is normal, or low? I'm seeing alot of high numbers... and something doesn't feel right.

Oh yeah, the Ram is Mushkin Blackline Frostbyte PC2-8500
That does seem a little bit low to me.... I would've thought PC8500 RAM would get more than that? I've only got PC6400 (DDR2-800) and I just got this now:

What I mean is the timings are suppose to be slow but doesn't show in the overall speed, makes me think timings are a load of bull
    1333mhz should be 7-7-7-20 right?
Depends on the manufacturers specs and design. Can be different timings and voltage ranges from the same brand, depending on the model.

    All are different.

    Edit:
Here's some info on the timing ranges.
    DDR3 SDRAM
This is probably a dumb question but I rather ask here then read a few 100 pages to find a decent answer elsewhere online
Peak transfer rate DDR3-1333: 10667 MB/s. Then where do the 16000+ scores come from?

So what could/should I do to fix it? Its brand new ram too..

I'm not really sure hey... Depending on the board and CPU you have (I have no experience with your hardware) you might be able to OC the RAM? Here's an interesting article at OverClock3D, maybe that'll help a bit? I'm not sure if it's the exact same RAM as yours though...

Did you leave the RAM at default settings?

Go to your BIOS, check the timings and voltage.

Does your MOBO and RAM have Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.)?

This will automatically detect your optimized RAM settings (info from the RAM).

Hmm, I've just tried this on my DDR3 now. I have 1333MHz DDR3 RAM, and I only get around 6900MB/s in dual channel. I'm pretty sure I should be getting slightly higher than that
So I came back to this. As I bought the 3x2GB stick off a friend, I popped the 3rd stick in, fired up comp, and re-did the speed test. The speeds were exactly the same, and it was reported to still be in dual channel..

Of course, your cpu is either dual channel or triple channel compatible aka an I5-750 can handle 4-8-12-16GB (4*), the I7-920 6-12-18GB (6*), 2x3Gb on a i5-750 for one is useless.

Your processor is dual channel, as well as your board.

Looks like your speed is a bit slow.

    I have a dual channel processor and board, 4X2GB XMS3 DDR3 1600 and get 19,424 MB/s.

Did you check the RAM settings in BIOS?
    Voltage and timings.

Did you leave them at default settings or change them to the manufacturer specs?

Do you have a Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) setting?

This will automatically set the RAM to manufacturer specs. If the voltage is higher than default it might increase the voltage on your processor, so check that before and after enabling XMP.

    Hope this helps.

    EDIT:
Just found this on a review of your MOBO: "The CPU and memory busses are “fully” independent of each other allowing you to pretty much dial up whatever speed you wish for each."

did a little cpu upgrade just from the 140w to the 125w cpu with a little more o/c. this is ddr2 1066 but it is 8gb total ram at all factory settings it gets 10,000 but it does seem that quantity plays a factor in the speed.

Nice score, you got that RAM tuned :)

The more GB you have the better the score is, don't remember the details but someone explained it earlier in this thread.

    It helps.
