    Delay resuming from sleep

Well when you put you PC to sleep, its meant to instant resume, right?
Well not for me. I had problems with my PC freezing from sleep, however i think its fix (Not quite sure) Anyway back to my issue..

So i press the power Button to wake my PC up, and Loads my Gigabyte screen and some other stuff as if i was turning the PC on. Then it goes to the "Resuming Windows" screen for about 5sec. Then it takes me to a blank screen, were it has a while flashing line (sorta like command promt) Then my Monitor goes into No singal for about 30sec. Then it takes me to a blank screen once again with my mouse showing

Doesn't sound like instant resume to me

Forgot to mentition that sometimes i go to wake it up, PC turns on but nothing is on the screen. So i have to Press and Hold the power button until its Sleeping again and the wake it up again.

When i had the freezing Problem, i would sometime get instead resume but it would freeze

Try these solutions from MS. Not identical to your problem, but some of the solutions may help you, too.

System hangs up after waking up from sleep mode

    Hello Mitch,

How does it work when you press a key on the keyboard or move the mouse to wake up the computer from sleep mode instead? Pressing the power button to wake up the computer is only for when you use hibernate instead.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Ok Mitch. See if disabling hibernate completely may be able to help stop that delay for you. :)

    Mitch -

as Brink said earlier: the power button is not used to wake from sleep at all, only to resume from hibernate.

It will either put the computer back to sleep or shut it down, depending on how it is set to behave.

You only want to hit return key to wake from sleep. Check your monitor's settings if it is slow waking from sleep.

I think it back again, but it doesnt really matter

Today i put PC to sleep for 5mins woke up with keyboard, show desktop. Then it look like it had a blue screen error, but it wasn't.

Restart, went back to resuming windows and you know the rest xD

but dont really care, as long at freezing is fix (which it is) im happy :)

It Strikes When i put my PC to sleep!

Like all my other thread i have said this!

I put my PC to sleep, then wake it up! i don't get instant resume. I get like an extra long boot up. From my Gigabyte screen, to resuming windows,to a blank screen with a white flashing like to, my monitor losing display!

Then the other problem is that when my PC goes to sleep, and i wake it up, it really STRIKES!

    IT FREEZES!!!

    Please help me

i have updated my drivers, and my BIOS, email Microsoft and when i say it doesn't work with there step they send me the same step over and over again!
