Hey there
Maybe you should upgrade to an SSD for max performance.
A cheaper way would be to change your HDD to a Samsung Spinpoint F3.
Charts, benchmarks 2009 3.5? Desktop Hard Drive Charts, h2benchw 3.12: Avg Read Throughput
In RAID 0 config HD Tune benchmark was 240Mb/s average read.
Your Raptor or Velociraptor is/was quick in it's day (and expensive) but after changing mine for Samsungs, I've never looked back.
It doesnt have the "image" that WD or Seagate have in terms of reliability but it is damn quick.
Other than that as other members have suggested
64bit OS
More RAM
Keeping your rig "lean" in terms of installed programs
IMO 3D Mark is good to benchmark, but it's the everyday performance that counts.
Don't overdo your OCs! It can be expensive if it breaks.
Good luck.
