    Sleep Problems

The problem that I am having is when the computer resumes from sleep the monitor and mouse don't resume. I have already updated the drivers for the monitor which didn't fix the problem. I had this problem in Xp and it seemed to follow me to win 7. Any thoughts ideas I welcome it.

Windows Does Not Start After Sleep[2]=Power Management

After wake problem check the event viewer for additional information
Just type that term in search

    Take the memory diagnostic test
Again just type that term in search.

If these suggestions do not lead to a solution. It is due to a conflict, I would try a clean boot to uncover the problem.

This may lead you to the source of the conflict.

About the time of the problem, look for anything marked error.

    This may help too

Power Options and Sleep Mode Problems - Vista Forums

I think the problem is caused by a conflict on wake up. This may help diagnose the problem

Resource Monitor - Troubleshoot Unresponsive Program[2]=Performance Maintenance

Before putting to sleep nest time, turn off the Anti Virus. That is the cause of many problems.

I doesn't seem like I can get mcaffe to truly stop running even in clean boot i couldn't stop the real time scan service. I tried to sleep after ending any processes related to mcafee and still same result cpu back on no mouse or monitor.

There has to be a way to stop Mcafee. I cant be sure, but that can be the source of the problem. Did you have Mcafee with XP, when you had the problem, too?
