    With the prior boot disk (WD Black Caviar) time was 65 seconds. SSD makes it a little quicker.

    removed a few things from startup (Adobe stuff, etc).. a bit better.. obviously not going to get that much better than a platter drive or some liquid cooling...

    Here is a similar test, just boot up to desktop time, no shut down time included.

    Nice find Dave76, this tool could be added to the first post of this thread and also Brink's Tutorial Restart Time - How to See What Your Windows 7 Restart Time is

    Link to Dave76's find - BootRacer - Test your windows boot speed

    So without further ado

    ReBoot Time-best-5-out-..png

    Best 5 out of ?, most using auto login and also temporarily disabling AV and Internet during 1 test had no affect on time.

    @essenbe, Nice scores.
    Matching startups with those two SSDs,

    I have a fresh install and haven't even looked at the startup load yet.

    Maybe I'll take a look later :)

    @IAP, you'll have to cut that in half to catch essenbe

    I did beat him to Login

    SSD vs HDD

    SSD: (Vertex2 - they look to be pretty uniform across systems in this test)

    HDD: (Seagate 7200.12)
