damn man thats a pretty good restart time. you got me by 3sec but its probably because of my slow post time
Mine fluctuates a little. It ranges from 29-31 usually. It may be what is going on in the background. Guess I just hit it right this time.

    Have a look at this:

    MaaS360® Boot Analyzer Tool

How long does it take your computers to boot when users start them? Is your IT group getting calls? The problem could be the new software or corporate image, but how can you be sure?

The MaaS360 Boot Analyzer can maintain a history of up to 100 previous boot times, match boot time delays with changes to the computer, perform automated tests for benchmarking, and set thresholds and notify you if the times suddenly increase.

Dave, nothing disabled. I do have an IDE CD/DVD. That's normal, it usually runs from 29-31.

I just replaced my original Sandy Bridge motherboard with the B3 revision of the same motherboard. My boot times improved by 20 seconds from 67 to 47. This is with a spinning drive (WD Caviar Black 640, 3 years old).

The difference is because the old board had a 20 second countdown of "loading operating system" on a black screen. The replacement board bypasses the countdown. I have no idea why. In both cases, I used AHCI controllers.

4000+ x2, 2gb @ 800mhz with Win7 SP1. No services were closed during the test or any startup entry.
    I like this script :)
