Back in the good 'ole days [Yes, I'm OLD] I had an 8088 [10.54Mhz] with a 2 MEG RAMDrive. Upon boot, an archive would uncompress to the RAMDrive, run everything, clear the drive, then uncompress another archive to it, and the that folder was the first one in my PATH.
It LITERALLY took over 5 minutes to boot to a DOS 6 prompt! BUT, Norton Commander would load visually faster than my friends 386-33!
I don't know how to check so I just counted.Mine takes 7 seconds
I recently got a new CPU and Motherboard and now have it running pretty well.
This is on a Vertex 4 with all programs running at startup:)
