Windows 7: ReBoot Time

Not bad, a lot of programs start up with mine so i'm happy with 88 secs

Its different on my case, oddly enough vista really loads THAT slow on my hardware. i had to wait for 1:15 seconds to get a fully usable desktop with Win7 i estimate its under 40seconds, its dramatically faster!

So, is this the actual-system time, or the best you can do?

I have loads of hardware, mapped drives, USB-attached drives that need to spin up, etc. I assume it's the latter, since minus the BIOS POST (from the OS load menu to desktop) I get 12 seconds if I dismount attached and network drives (almost clean OS). As-is, I load in about 30 seconds and shut down in about 5 or so. (SSDs in RAID0)

However, I lose some 30 seconds in BIOS POST since I have two RAIDs. Also, due to memory overclock, sometimes the machine needs to power cycle to get the DIMMS to actually work.

Not bad since i had to enter my password too.

Un-altered startups, Dual boot and logon, So not bad....

My desktop and laptop both startup Win7 noticeable faster than Vista

Here's mine, not too shabby at 76secs....

59 seconds, not bad.
