    Here's my latest.....pretty much no tweaking at all, have't disabled any startup items.

    It's not the best, but it gets the job done :)

    I'm curious, the time given by this app is considerably greater than that given in the Event Viewer. It is my guess that this counts the entire time from when the Real-Time button is pressed, until returning to desktop, instead of starting at the first Windows screen. R-T's method is more realistic, but less useful for diagnostic purposes, since it even would include shutdown and BIOS screen times. Am I correct?

    If I understand the process correctly, you are correct. Restart time includes shutdown, bios time, and windows loading time. Bootracer starts when windows begins to load.

    If that is the case, then the boot times that some people have posted is quite impressive, and I will never come close to matching them.

    If you will notice, the better restart time are by those who have SSDs. Get an SSD and wour restart time will improve alot.
