    Hello,

boot time in xp = 24 secs
    boot time vista x86 = 29 secs
    boot time vista x64 = 35 secs
    boot time windows 7 x86 rc = 31 secs
    boot time windows 7 x64 rc = 34 secs
these times are measured from selecting of OS to usable desktop.

When I run the restart script on windows 7 x86 rc I get 54 secs.

How are you measuring your boot times without the script? When you see the Windows desktop, all of your start-up applications have yet to load. The script probably runs after these, so your start up time of 54 seconds is probably more accurate.

    Hello ciphernemo,

I ran the script on each partition and got these results. Not a lot between them in timings. (I don't have aero on in vista though.)

i installed the RT black build of windows 7 RC today and measured my reboot time after the install and then after I installed all the applications i want (like firefox, antivirus, etc)
5 seconds faster without any installs but ... faster than the normal RC build :)
