That time wouldn't give you time to forget!

I think it is a good time... :) Vaio F12 upgraded with Samsung 830 (128GB) SSD. Clean install without Sony bloatware.

off: is it worth memory upgrade to 8GB from 4GB?

Not unless you are regularly using all of the current 4 GB. Determine that by looking at Resource Monitor.

I rarely use even 3 GB.

I'll need to do some tweaking to get it any lower, but It does have to load a large Image for the 10Gb RAMDisk

Here's my 6 year old Laptop result which is faster than my desktop

Personally, I wouldn't tweak just for a better time. A few seconds are trivial, and if you have what you want starting, leave it be

Just messing around to see what can be achieved, I've just Turned Off Windows Write-cache Buffer and got it 3 seconds faster.

If I disabled my RAMDisk, I might get it down to 25, I'll get back to you on that one

You are fine Vipermk2, don't obsess over reboot times. My best is 47 seconds in a desktop but the PC is blazing fast while running.

Can't believe I went this long without an SSD.

That's what everyone says with their first SSD. Congrats, enjoy it.

    Nice, ain't they?
I wish I could get below 40 secinds, but the rig runs very fast, like the Road Runner.
