That's what everyone says with their first SSD. Congrats, enjoy it.

Hi all, I had posted my reboot times back on page 123. I did a clean install yesterday, and just got all my drivers updated. I'm pretty happy with my new time, especially on a 2 year old laptop spinning a 5400 rpm, 640 G hard drive. Sure would like to have an SSD though. :)

Good time indeed. My PC when I had a good 7200RPM Boot HDD was getting just slightly slower then that. A Guy

    Hi everyone, first post here.

This is a clean (almost) install of Windows 7 Home Premium x64. All Windows updates, GTA IV, Firefox, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Flash, Avast Anti-Virus, Audacity installed.

Normal Startup/Boot. All Services running except Disk Defragmenter and Search Indexer. Hibernation disabled. Superfetch and Prefetch disabled. Pagefile set to 512-1024mb. System Restore disabled. Power Options set to High Performance. UAC disabled.

    Crucial M4 256GB SSD
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 OEM

This is my first SSD and I'm absolutely in love. I will never use a mechanical hard drive again for a primary disk.

Nice re-boot time, SSDs are great, there is no going back.
